Hands was founded over one hundred years ago by William Hands, a professional cabinet and chair maker and the company is still based on the site of his original workshop in High Wycombe. During the last one hundred years Hands has grown and developed and is justifiably proud of it’s reputation for creating very high quality furniture.

Hands can boast a very impressive list of past clients and commissions; the company made the chairs used for the Coronation of King George VI and H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. More recently they designed, built and installed 150 executive desks for Judges at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Hands have manufactured boardroom and executive furniture for some of the worlds leading companies including recent contracts for Lloyds Underwriters, Ford and Volkswagen. Flexibility is key to Hands design process and they can produce bespoke furniture in either contemporary or classic designs, depending on the design brief. Hands are very well known in the office furniture industry for creating impressive reception areas where that all-important first impression and corporate image is crucial; recent clients have included Aston Martin, Avis Europe and the Allied Irish Bank.

Hand’s design and manufacture a wide range of products including, desking, storage and media walls, chairs, soft-seating, workwalls, corporate dining furniture and furniture and fittings for courts and councils. Their products are hugely versatile and can be easily incorporated into the design of an office thanks to the huge choice of high quality veneers solid timber edges.
